What is Alkaline Water?

Alkaline water has been used in Japan for more than 40 years and has been shown to help restore the body to its original, healthy condition. When tested for ORP (oxidizing reduction potential), it shows a NEGATIVE reading. It has an adjustable pH reading of 8.5 - 9.5, making it alkaline, which is the opposite of acidic.

What Is ORP?

ORP, Oxidation Reduction Potential or Redox Potential, is a measurement of water’s ability to oxidize contaminants. The higher the ORP, the greater the number of oxidizing agents.

What is the cluster theory of deoxidized water?

Approximately 15 years ago, with the help of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) 1 appliance, it was confirmed that water does not exist in single unit molecules, but forms a molecular population (cluster) 2 out of approximately 13 water molecules. These clusters are constantly repeating an aggregation-disaggregation process. The quality of water depends on the size of its clusters. For example, small clusters have active molecules that increase the capacity of water to dissolve elements (solubility), let elements pass through (permeability), and let heat pass through (conduction). Electrolysis causes the water clusters to break, and Kangen Water™ has clusters made up of five to six water molecules resulting in a lower molecular weight. This is approximately half of that of tap water (12-15 water molecules/cluster) and is most beneficial for your health.

1) Nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus NMR - An apparatus that utilizes electromagnetic waves to measure/determine the molecular population in water. It is used in research on the composition of matter as well as in medical fields.

2) Molecular cluster - Water molecules stick together to form a grape-like structure. Approximately thirteen water molecules form a molecular population which is known as a cluster.

How is the water made?

The process for making the water is very simple. The machine simply connects to your faucet, you turn on the power, then the faucet and the wonderful process begins. The regular tap water is initially purified by the internal filter and then ionized via electrolysis. This results in the water being separated into two types: alkaline (hydrogen-rich) and acidic (oxygen-rich).

What are the uses of Alkaline / Acidic water?

Drinking water. To keep the body properly hydrated and assist with colon function.
For taking supplements. Alkaline water has outstanding dissolving, extracting and anti-oxidizing properties that will enhance the effectiveness of any supplements you may be taking.
As a skin toner. Use mild acid 5.5 pH water as a skin toner to give your skin a healthy, radiant shine.
After consuming alcohol. Dilute the acidity of the alcohol and prevent hangovers. Use alkaline water ice cubes with your drinks and ingest a sufficient quantity of alkaline water before bed to prevent a hangover.
For drinking during meals. When eating acidic foods such as meat, egg yolks, white bread, etc, drinking kangen water will help balance the pH.
For brewing tea and coffee. Alkaline water prevents tannin in the tea and allows the tea to infuse fully, creating a rich color and taste. In coffee, kangen brings out the aroma, color and naturally acidic taste. Only half the amount of coffee beans are required to create the same full taste.
For cooking. Alkaline water can be used to soak vegetables and meats, eliminating the strong smells of onions or any game meat, for example. What is the basic, correct way of drinking Kangen Water™?

There are no set rules regarding how to drink Kangen Water™ or how much to consume, but there appear to be two main ways. The first is for people who are healthy and have a structured lifestyle and steady daily rhythm. Such individuals can drink Kangen Water™ anyway they want.

The second way is for individuals who are trying to benefit from the four effects of Kangen Water™ (recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare) to improve medical conditions. In this case, it is best to drink small amounts (1/4 of a cup) every 30-40 minutes. Individuals who drink a cup of freshly made Kangen Water™ in the morning, and just before bed are less likely to suffer from the rebound phenomena *1.

How do we begin drinking Kangen Water™?

It is most common to begin by setting a low pH level (pH8.5) and gradually increasing the amount of intake. After continuing regular intake for about two weeks, gradually adjust the pH level and amount of intake (between pH9.0-pH9.5) based on your bodily needs and physical condition. The Kangen Water™ should be as fresh as possible. For children or seniors, set the pH level at an even lower level upon starting, and gradually increase it as the body adjusts to the current pH level. In the case of infants (until about a year old), since breast milk or milk is the only thing they consume, the intestinal movement is generally different from adults, and the use of Kangen Water™ is not encouraged until the infant begins to consume more sophisticated foods. In any case, Kangen Water™ should not be used to make powdered milk for infants.

How should I consume Kangen Water™ in order to improve my health?

People need to drink more than 0.7 gallons of water a day in order to live. The large intestine absorbs water supplied by liquids and moisture in foods consumed by the people. To maximize the health benefits gained from drinking Kangen Water™, drink more than 0.5 gallons throughout the day in small portions, without boiling it. The most effective way is to drink over 0.15 gallons of Kangen Water™ first thing in the morning prior to breakfast. Not only does the first drink in the morning replenish the water lost during the night through breathing and sweating, but the power of Kangen Water™ speeds up your metabolism *1, improving your health, alleviating constipation, fatigue and even a hangover. How many years does the electrolysis cell remain effective?

The electrode plate in LeveLuk’s electrolysis cell is thicker and larger than other companies’ products. The appliance is designed this way in order to increase electrolysis capacity and durability. Another important reason is to guarantee the production of maximum volumes of water.

What is the difference between the Kangen Water™ machines' electrolysis cell and those of other companies?

Electrolysis of water requires high quality electrolysis plates, and its size, thickness, and number becomes crucial in maintaining durability. The “double cross line” method*1 used by other companies has the appliance’s overall durability in mind. In these appliances, two small electrolysis cells are used in turn to provide resting time, but this limits the volume of water than can be produced at one time. LeveLuk on the other hand, has five or seven electrolysis plates, the largest number in the industry, and while maintaining durability via their large surface area and thickness, they allow the appliance to produce large volumes of water (maximum Kangen Water™: 0.8-2.0 gallons/minute).

Every function, such as supplying voltage according to switching of the pH setting and producing highly acidic water in the same electrolysis cell, is carefully monitored by the microcomputer. It ensures that the appliance can be used safely for a long period of time. We recommend that you produce “beauty water” once a day for at least three minutes to improve the appliance’s durability.

Also referred to as the auto cross changer method. An electrolysis system where the appliance is equipped with two small electrolysis cells in order to enhance durability by alternating the cells with each water flow.
